Observation Details
20 - 30 mph southeasterly winds. Shooting cracks propagated roughly 20 feet as a result of a ski cut directly under a cliff ban on a ~ 35 degree west-southwest facing slope at 4300'. Thin cover in spots, rocks and ice bulges lurk just beneath the surface. Our major concerns were how our new snow is bonding to the rain crust it fell on and areas of recently drifted snow.
