Observation Details
Our group dug no pit and stayed low angle, about 27 degrees was the steepest slope we skied. While skinning up we observed rapidly compacting snow and multiple crust layers, the first about 4 to 6" deep. At the headwall on the split we stayed climber's right and set off shooting cracks that extended about 15' as we ski cut the edge of the slide. We skied out from there and stayed off any pitches steeper that about 25 degrees. No other issues were encountered.
