Observation Details
Dug snowpit down to ~90cm, just above flowing water. Temp was hovering around freezing; raining/sleet at bottom of slide, snowing from just below test pit (3,000') to summit. A quick shovel shear test produced 3 consolidated slabs within the snowpack—a top storm slab (35cm thick), and two other slabs; one 30cm below storm slab, and second, the last 45cm. ECTN17 at "dust layer" 35cm from surface.
No Avy red flags were observed, snow was super sticky and skied slow. Skied great, albeit slow.
