Observation Details

Some considerable wind transport near summits early in the morning before becoming calm. Given recent substantial winds and low density snow available for transport our principle concern was wind slabs, but these were relatively isolated. Low snow conditions still dominate the High Peaks. We found some reasonably good skiing in concentrated areas, but most slide paths are fairly thin with a lot of exposed rock and ice.
