Observation Details

Group observed numerous pinwheels and very small local areas of wet loose/sluff (largest being the top 3-5" of snow in approximately a 5 foot x 3 foot area) giving way as we skied/came to a stop. No propagation to speak of, just a small release that moved only a few feet down hill.

I would caution starting too late in the day as the hot sun rapidly warms the snow surface. I'm no professional, but I might worry about wet slabs on steeper terrain during this period of sudden above average temperatures.
